THE CHALLENGE

ABI Services is a not-for-profit organisation specialising in the delivery of services to people with an acquired brain injury.

Its operations rely on both an office-based and mobile workforce, making technology critical to compliance, rostering, and consistent service delivery.

With a Sydney-based head office and a secondary rural office, reliable communication between sites was essential. Voice and data connectivity needed to be stable, resilient, and available at all times.

As existing hardware reached end of life, ABI Services also required guidance on how to modernise its technology environment in a way that was both cost-effective and scalable, while minimising disruption to day-to-day operations.

The Solution

TechnologyFX worked closely with ABI Services to design solutions that aligned with the organisation’s operational needs and not-for-profit budget constraints.

Key components of the solution included:

  • Hosted Exchange for email services
  • A lower-specification server platform appropriate to the organisation’s requirements
  • Migration of selected critical services to the cloud

TechnologyFX’s Professional Services team delivered the solution with a strong focus on communication and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

Following implementation, the environment transitioned to TechnologyFX Managed Services, providing ongoing support, maintenance, and monitoring with minimal outages and support requirements.
